The Name of the federation shall be the "South African Ju-Jitsu Federation", hereinafter referred to as "SAJJF".
PURPOSE
The SAJJF is an apolitical, non-profit organisation.
The purpose of the SAJJF is to assemble Ju-Jitsuka and interested parties at specific times and specific places to practice and promote Ju-Jitsu, in South Africa through, inter alia:
The production of rules and regulations to control and administer the art.
The affiliation to world bodies and the acquisition of recognition for the SAJJF by such bodies when deemed necessary.
The international exchange of information with martial arts control bodies to broaden knowledge of Ju-Jitsu.
To obtain recognition for the SAJJF from Government Departments and National Control Bodies.
To receive monies from members and delegate said monies for specific purposes.
To control all debits and credits of the SAJJF.
To control the awarding of SAJJF colours.
MANAGEMENT
The management of the SAJJF shall be vested in the Executive Board. The Chairperson will chair the Executive Board and Secretariat. The Executive Board shall consist of the Chairperson and the Style Heads or their representatives from each style of Ju-Jitsu practised in the SAJJF. A Vice-chairperson shall be elected from the affiliated members at the Annual General Meeting.
MEMBERSHIP
Membership is open to any person subject to the following conditions:
Applicants must complete and sign the prescribed indemnity form. In the case of minors, this form must be signed by a parent or legal guardian.
The applicant gives a written undertaking to/and abide by the rules of the SAJJF and any Body to which the SAJJF is affiliated.
He/she fulfils his/her financial obligations toward the SAJJF timeously as to be determined from time to time.
Affiliated Clubs must consist of at least ten (10) members and a registered Ju-Jitsu instructor.
LANGUAGE MEDIUM
The language media of the SAJJF will be Afrikaans and/or English. Japanese Terminology may be used.
MEMBERS
Members are to abide by the rules of the SAJJF as well as the rules of any Body to which the SAJJF is affiliated, and may be expelled by the SAJJF by a two-thirds majority vote at a Special General Meeting.
Members should bear the spirit of the SAJJF in mind, should always behave so as to enhance the prestige (esteem) of the SAJJF. They should endeavour to broaden their knowledge of Martial Arts and should exhibit self-control in all situations.
Members should lay all disputes before the Executive Board for arbitration. Their decision shall be presented to the SAJJF at a Special General Meeting.
AMENDMENTS TO THE CONSTITUTION
The Constitution of the SAJJF may only be amended under the following conditions:-
By an Annual General Meeting or Special General Meeting if precise notice of the proposed amendment reaches the secretary at least six (6) weeks prior, and the members three (3) weeks prior, to the meeting at which the amendment is to be discussed.
A quorum of two-thirds of the enfranchised members are present at the meeting.
Two-thirds of the enfranchised members present at the meeting vote in favour of the amendment.

The SAJJF may be affiliated to:-
The International Ju-Jitsu Federation.
The World Council of Ju-Jitsu Organisations.
The European Ju-Jitsu Union.
The International Sport Ju-Jitsu Organisation.
The American Ju-Jitsu Association.
Nick Cerio's International Martial Arts Organisation.
South African Sport Ju-Jitsu Authority.
Any other Body the Executive Committee deems fit.
SUFFRAGE
The following persons are enfranchised members of the SAJJF are all Club Instructors affiliated to the SAJJF.
All Dan grades affiliated to the SAJJF may attend meetings but have no voting power.
